Codam StudentsCodam College in Amsterdam opened and welcomed the first full time cohort of students in 2019. Since then, our waiting lists are full of young tenacious students waiting to sign up to join the movement.

Sofronie Foundation supports and funds the project to bring technical learning opportunities to many deserving young people in Amsterdam.

The full-time course is free and does not require diplomas or degrees to apply. Using the ground-breaking curriculum and educational model of the successful French school “Ecole 42”, the unique learning method encourages peer to peer learning. Working without any teachers, you will manage your own learning by following a programme of gamified challenges and work together with your peers to find solutions to progress through the syllabus.

As a team you can pool your knowledge and curiosity to achieve your tasks. Each student will have their work assessed by another student and by doing so the learning and teamwork grows. As part of the programme students are expected to take on internships with local businesses. Depending on your capability most programmers will take between 2 and 3 years to finish the course.

Coding can lead to a world of job opportunities; work as a software engineer for a tech firm or launch your own start up, work on product design, mobile apps, virtual reality robotics, self-driving cars and much more ...
