Social Mobility Foundation

The Social Mobility Foundation (SMF) helps young people from low-income backgrounds to find places at university and assists them in joining the top employers to pursue their chosen profession.

In 2015, based on the success of their London office, the Social Mobility Foundation team requested support from Sofronie to open their first office outside London in Manchester.

Sofronie was pleased to assist in this expansion and support young people from the Manchester area. The base provided year 12 and year 13 students who are educationally high attaining, the opportunity to join the Aspiring Professionals Programme. This programme offers help and support through mentoring, internships and preparation for university.

Sofronie supported the work of the SMF from 2009 until 2022.
